Each of these projects were designed to teach important skills in Illustrator: Love trace, Stroke & Fill, Color Management, Pathfinder, Align & Transform among a few. Finally, the end products were printed using the Epilog laser cutter.
In addition to the skills mentioned above, this interdisciplinary project, 'Jabberwocky,' also integrated iMovie and Garageband. The final project can be viewed below.

Mandala Design Adobe Illustrator
As an introduction to Adobe Illustrator, students learned how to rotate an object around a center, manipulate line weights, and work with color to create radial symmetry in Mandalas, while also learning about the history and meaning of this universal symbol in many cultures and time periods.

Interdisciplinary Jabberwocky Project
In this project, students used Adobe Illustrator to design a set, characters, and props that were cut out with a the Epilog laser cutter. The pieces were engineered for movement and used in a theatrical shadow puppet production of Lewis Carrol's famous poem, Jabberwocky.

Coin Design - "Values Portraits" Adobe Photoshop
As an introduction to Adobe Photoshop, students learned to desaturate a photograph of themselves and use text and filters to create a coin representing a personal value.

Design Process Posters - Adobe Photoshop
In this project, students used AdobePhotoshop to design classroom didactics illustrating the five steps of the design process.

Public Service Camaigns: Adobe Photoshop
Students used photography and Adobe Photoshop to design public service campaign materials to encourage community members to support public schools through volunteer programs.
