Spotlight on Sculpture
Have a look at my projects here to get an idea of what I’ve worked on, how I implement my skills and my approach from concept to execution. Reach out if you’d like to learn more about a specific project.
Bamboo
This is one of my favorite units. Westminster 7th Grade students harvested bamboo from our campus. During the course of the unit students learned how to use many tools, used team work and collaboration to incorporate a principle of design into their structure.

Geodesic Dome
This is another unit I have refined over time. This is an excellent unit in which to teach architectural history while also teaching building concepts such as tension while integrating math skills and ideas.

Op Art & Geometric Forms
The 7th-grade visual arts course I teach is a year-long course that includes some students who are generally interested in art and want variety in their projects to gain confidence as they try different techniques and mediums. For this unit, students learn the history, concepts, and methods of the op art movement and apply them to geometric forms combined into one giant group sculpture and displayed in the student art exhibition.
