Spotlight on drawing & painting projects
Have a look at my projects here to get an idea of what I’ve worked on, how I implement my skills and my approach from concept to execution. Reach out if you’d like to learn more about a specific project.
Perspective
As an exploration of 1 point, 2 point, and 3 point perspective, students made drawings of books to display in the Manlius Pebble Hill Library. In this unit, students build on the skills of shading and using color and value to add power to their work.

Micrography Project
This is a unit I have refined over time. This is an excellent unit in which to teach art history while also teaching hard skills such as value and form. I have often used this unit to partner with a community partner. At CHAD, we partnered with the US Labor Department for Women's History Month and at Westminster, we partnered with Georgia Works and Housing tonight.

Micrography Project - Digital Differentiation
The 7th-grade visual arts course I teach is a year-long course that includes some students who are generally interested in art and want variety in their projects so they can gain confidence as they try diffrent techniques and mediums. For the Micrography unit, I allow for differentiation by having some students execute the project using digital programs such as Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop.
